Suggested email policy…

TaxiMap allows member cab firms to specify up to 2 email addresses where notifications are sent when a booking is made. For this to be effective, we have some handy hints and reminders…

Auto-responders…
If you like to have an auto-responder set up that replies to emails when you are contacted directly, this can conflict with TaxiMap notification emails.
Suggestion – Consider using a dedicated email address for TaxiMap notifications.

Going Away…
If you are going away and no-one will be able to respond to booking requests in a timely fashion, customers will be put off.
Suggestion – Temporarily disable booking through the TaxiMap member control panel.

Backup/Alternative Email Addresses
TaxiMap does allow you to put in a secondary email address. Notifications will be copied to this email address. This is useful as a backup, in case anything goes wrong with your main email address…

Use the TaxiMap booking system to respond to booking requests
You cannot reply directly to the customer by clicking Reply to our booking notification emails. You can email the customer directly by clicking their email address which will be provided within the notification email, OR  you can click the APPROVE/DECLINE links at the top of the email to have the system send the appropriate response.

Always respond promptly
Customers are impatient. They need to hear from you quickly after making a booking request, otherwise they’ll go elsewhere. Insure you respond quickly to requests as they come in.
